when ben was 19, he lived on a tropical island.

when ben was 19, he decided to serve a two year mission for the lds church.
he was lucky enough to serve in the dominican republic.

he left the d.r. in 2004. and he hasn't been back.

i'm here to proudly announce, in exactly one month, we are going the dominican republic!!!
we can barely contain ourselves. we've only been planning this for years!

here are some cute photos of ben on his mission for your enjoyment :)
this last one is really funny because it says, "there is sin for sale here" but 'pecado' and 'pescado' are really similar--- 'pescado' meaning, fish. (there is fish for sale here)

odd question but does ben know an elder ludlow from his mission? i dated a guy who went there and i'm not sure if he'd know him or if they missed each other.

way cool, i hope you have fun!

That's exciting news! I'm interested in your perspective on missionary work as a Anthropology student? This is not intended to be offensive in any regard, I'm just curious. Also, is it sort of strange traveling there given what's happened in Haiti?

My brother in law's parents are missionaries in the Dominican Republic. My sister was there to visit them and loves the place and the people. I wish the best for you both in your adventures. xoxo

Whoa. Did he grow taller after his mission? He just doesn't seem as tall as the Ben we all know now.
