la playa en punta cana [d.r.]

the first few days in the dominican republic were spent on the beach in the punta cana area. we stayed at playa uvero alto. the beach just seemed like it's own little island because it was so far from any other towns or resorts. and we came to find out later, it's probably one of the d.r.'s prettiest beaches!
it was so nice to be there... because we actually relaxed and enjoyed ourselves--- not something i've really done on "vacation" before.
and don't you LOVE the palm trees? i was instantly obsessed. i love how tall and skinny they are. and they are all over the country.

we really enjoyed ourselves... can't wait to share more :)

aaaaaaaaah..I feel like my eyes went on a mini-vacation.;)
I love the way the sand there is pinkish and the water looks like varying shades of aqua.
p.s. You are just way too pretty!

Ah, pictures at last. The beach with its beauty made splendid by your presence. We had a lovely visit to Laguna beach with Kris and Al and family and with our California family. We visited the tide pools and saw big and bright red, purple and orange star fish, purple sea urchins and sea anenomes. After of course, visiting dizzy, dipping, diving disney rides at it's magical kingdom. The kids were the most magical with their squeals and laughter.
