we are happy campers

we camped and hiked in catoctin mountain park in maryland over the weekend. catoctin is the home of camp david- the u.s. president's getaway.
we can understand why--- catoctin is super pretty and the weather was about 30 degrees cooler there than in dc. it was so fun to wear a sweatshirt again!

i just really love camping and hiking. being a little secluded and enjoying the fresh air.

we can't wait for our next outdoor outing.

looove camping. we're going in two weeks :)

p.s. i saw on your foodie blog something about peanut sauce? a while ago- i can't remember... but i have a recipe from Mali, West Africa that james grew up with as a staple. It's really easy to make. It'll stink up your kitchen, but you might like it. haha

this ALMOST makes me want to go camping this weekend...almost. but i've never had a great experience with mother nature. (unless smores are involved)

SMORE! I totally missed the smore; i thought it was a taco. Really I was looking at the o' so cute face. You have been in the sun more lately. I can see the cute little freckles.
Um, mossy. [wasn't that a line from a movie?]

sadly, i am never a fan of camping when i wake up in the morning. but i know what you mean about being secluded with the trees and air.

you and your husband are adorable.

p.s. thank you thank again for your london list. now that i'm here, it means even more. the things i've done have been stellar and i can't wait to try everything.
