lovely roses ben brought home on friday. a great start to a great weekend.
our crowded stove on for valentine's dinner
yes, that is homemade crème brûlée
we decided it would be fun to stay in this valentine's day... and i realize now, i kind of liked it better than going out.for dinner: roasted lamb with spinach and mushroom risotto.
for dessert: crème brûlée
let's be honest, valentine's day is really silly. but it is nice that you can show those you love that you love them... a little more publicly on valentine's day.
we made dinner, talked and laughed a lot and also watched some tv
good tv: chuck on nbc
bad tv: the bachelor on abc
and i took the night off from school work... not mentally of course but it was a great to have an excuse to not work on my thesis.
hope your show-the-ones-you-love-that-you-love-them-day was nice.

I'm so impressed with your roasted lamb. And your risotto. And homemade creme brulee. Seriously though. I love when you write about you and Ben; I think you two are so genuine.
Looks like your Vday was fabulous.
I love the silliness of Valentine's day. And I love staying home, away from the crowds so we can be even more silly. Here's to heart shaped food!

i love cooking dinner together! way better than crowded and noisy restaurants.
I am seriously impressed by that spread!
your valentines dinner is one of a kind. I'd choose dinner at home too, especially if my love is the one who's in charge of the kitchen :)
