the lower east side is rrrrad because it feels a little run down, a little neglected but it also has so many gems- like economy candy, the [original] doughnut plant, the [incredible] tenement museum, katz deli, essex street market...
and so many others i/we am/are yet to discover.
economy candy made us happy - because, it too is a sort of hole-in-the-wall, lower east side representative that is awesome and historical and a little rough around the edges.
and they sell candy (!!!)
we may have bought too much candy, but you have to...
when you're kids in a candy shop.

mmm, love that place. so many choices!
that looks amazing! so colorful and happy.
I love that picture of you. SUGAR, SUGAR, SUGAR. I'm so proud of you for buying too much candy.
So, I know I always say this, but why don't we live in the same city again?! Man, we'd totally be besties.
Annie says the one of Emily with her mouth open was funny! Jane says, "Mommy," when I asked her what she wanted to say about your blog. I say "yummy"!
i love those little snowcap mints. just the little colored ones. not the big ones at movie theatres.
I love candy stores and an economy candy store sounds heavenly.
there was a place in Idaho where all of you developed your sweet tooth for candy. Helping Lee close the store was
probably the thing that did the deal.
Way to go shayna, encourage the sweet tooth. This is the first I've seen the blog in a month!
